Here’s a funny thing. I was casting an eye over a bunch of recent music artwork when I thought I noticed something. The thing I thought I’d noticed wasn’t especially interesting, actually, and the effect I thought I’d seen evaporated on closer examination – but in the course of that closer examination, I found this here goat demon — this vogueing goat demon, what’s more — lurking in the cover photo of the new Demdike Stare elpee.

And now I’m wondering, was it put there deliberately?

This is a bluebottle maggot. For a price, this guy and his friends will chew — therapeutically, mind you — on your ulcerated parts.

Second thought: a daily stream of this kind of thing would probably enjoy considerably higher traffic than this blog is currently attracting.

    Possibly wrong to bring it up in an RIP box, but: whilst peering into the depths of the David Shankbone portrait on Silliman’s Blog, it struck me that if anyone were planning to make a film of Carroll’s life (and yes, I know there’s already the Basketball Diaries movie with DiCaprio, which I don’t specifically recall ever getting around to see) they should totally cast Tilda Swinton as Jim Carroll. Seriously. She would be awesome.
