Tab Mix Plus

Further to my recent tweet, it turns out that Firefox never actually had an “open in foreground tab” contextual menu item to call its own. I’d forgotten (if I ever knew) that the feature was owed to the Tab Mix Plus add-on, which stopped working once I upgraded to FF3.5.

Sheila Lennon had the same problem, and set about the irksome task of downgrading Firefox, before discovering a beta version of a FF3.5-compatible version of the add-on, which you can find here.

If you’re a Firefox user, and you don’t already enjoy the benefits of TMP, you really should. You can find the feature list (for the older version) here
