Marquee Moon

The first twelve inch single I ever bought. Stereo on one side, mono on the other. I never did see the point of that, but a truly extraordinary record. I remember taking in to school, and producing it in the sixth form common room. The knuckle-draggers sneered reflexively at the opening riff, but they’d gone quiet by the end of the track.

The provenance of this video isn’t clear, but I am liking it.

    I saw Television at the Longhorn Bar in Minneapolis soon after this came out. I thought they were fucked up. Later on I realized the sounds were glued right inside my head and that they were the good kind of fucked up.
