a novelty choking hazard

wave power

Most ingenious, and very cheap to produce, by the looks. I like that it’s called Pandora’s Box, for reasons which for all I know are unintentional. It’s also an infectiously happy clip. I picked this off the front page at Youtube, so I imagine it’s all over the place, but never mind.

I’d been reading around The untimely death of Salter’s Duck and found the site for the Wave Power Group, which is still being maintained, and has much to recommend it, including some fetchingly 1970s period educational materials.

There were a series of short films made for the BBC’s business programme, Working Lunch, last year, which are still watchable, and show what the revived – albeit at a fairly small scale, considering – wave power research and development scene is doing.

I’ll have you know that this post continued in some pret-ty fanciful digressions before I cut it down to what you see before you. Count yourself fortunate.
