A handsome collection, being a side-dish of the rather wonderful and previously unsuspected (by me, at any rate) octopus blog, Octopia. This cover particularly caught my eye, despite that the perspective and scale are hilariously confusing, and the painting is really rather weak, even at second glance. I do think our culture is immeasurably poorer, however, in that we no longer have publications with names like “Spicy Adventure Stories”.
I am also struck by the title of the story, for reasons which may become clearer sometime in the next few weeks, when I publish one of my lengthier and more fanciful posts, currently in the works. Patience.
